ARTICLE 22 - PEACE BOMB - ALUMINIUM JEWELRY

Abstract and refined, Peace Bomb jewelry collection of Article 22 ("Make bracelets, not war") in recycled aluminum tell a story, the bombs in Laos and combine skills of craftsmen from the city of Naphia in Laos and creation by the two designers in New York.

Laos became the most bombed country in history and artisans transform bombs and war debris jewelry, adopting a constructive approach towards the destructions caused by the war.

Beyond compensation of craftsmen and support to the development of the village, each jewel sold allows mine clearance of 3 m2 of land in Laos.

Article 22 works with 12 artisan families in Naphia who had begun to transform these bombs aluminum spoons in the 1970s.

These jewels are very trendy, stylish and urban.

In all seriousness, no willingness on our part to exaggerate the responsible seeing for these bracelets and make of it a sales argument, we could not really switch to mention their very special origin and history .
